A watch is a small timepiece intended to be worn by a person and it is designed to keep working despite the motions caused by the person's activities. Some watches are designed to be worn around the wrist, attached by a watch strap or other type of bracelet. Other watches are designed to be placed in someone’s pocket.
A watch has various extra features, called "complications", such as moon-phase displays and the different types of tourbillon. Modern watches usually display the day, date, month and year.
