1. First, the current state expenditure in Indonesia is spent on subsidies. Though the budget can be used for the poor. Indonesia has 75 million people out of 240 million who have not been connected to the power grid. Indonesia has many people who are not connected to electricity compared to China, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines all countries in Southeast Asia. To that end, the government needs to set aside substantial expenditure to solve the problem. Thus, other expenditures such as subsidized spending need to be reduced. Secondly, so far subsidized fuel is still enjoyed by rich people. Because, when subsidized fuel prices are still low, and the disparity of non-subsidized fuel prices is too far then more and more people are using subsidized fuel. In other words, people who own a car actually get subsidies compared to people using motorcycles, bajaj, and ojek. Third, international crude oil prices are rising and it will press the fiscal balance. Fourth, in the long run, world crude oil prices will continue to rise.
